First day of winter and the sun is shining and I can feel my toes. Unlike yesterday. Doing a little gardening and not having anyone else to cater for at lunchtime, thought I’d just eat from the garden.
I’m enjoying the garden this autumn and watching it evolve.
……starts soon in central Victoria!
Artichokes are a plant I was so excited to get in the garden. I love how they look in the garden and I love eating them. But….. I’m not sure how I feel about preparing and cooking them at home.
Or your harvest will look like this:
This spring has been totally delightful so far. Cool, mild and raining non-stop. Nothing like last spring. The garden is so happy and I’ve just been sitting back and watching it grow.
Second spring in my vegie patch and another first: a fully formed cabbage.
I harvested my first ever asparagus out of the garden this past week. It was worth the wait.
Gardening has really changed my perception of the seasons.
