I thought I’d give a little update on my feijoa hedge. I planted it last autumn along our driveway:
I harvested my first ever asparagus out of the garden this past week. It was worth the wait.
It’s the time of the year in the temperate southern hemisphere to be planting garlic so that in 6-8 months you can be digging up deliciousness like this:
I was a bit late harvesting my garlic this year.
Fruit Tree No 29
Having bought this property 18 months ago, I’ve spent a good 12 months observing, thinking and planning my edible garden. From autumn-spring this year I’m planting a lot of fruit trees. Today I planted no 29: my first citrus tree. It’s called a Thornless Lemon, and is apparently a thornless Lisbon.
